membership

IESL WA is open to Sri Lankan engineers (and those with Sri Lankan heritage) who are living, studying, or working in Western Australia. We also welcome engineers from other backgrounds who have a connection to the Sri Lankan engineering community. There are membership categories for students, graduates, associates, professional members, and fellows.
Membership fees vary by category: Student membership is $25/year, Graduate membership is $50/year, Associate membership is $65/year, Professional membership is $75/year, and Corporate membership is $500/year. Fees are reviewed annually by the committee. New members who join after July 1st may be eligible for a pro-rated fee for the first year.
While IESL WA membership does not directly satisfy EA's assessment requirements, our chapter provides invaluable support through information sessions on the Migration Skills Assessment (MSA) process, guidance from members who have successfully completed EA assessment, networking with experienced engineers who can provide referee endorsements, and CPD events that can strengthen your competency profile.
To apply for IESL WA membership: 1) Complete the online application form on our website under Membership > Apply Now. 2) Submit all required supporting documents (degree certificate, CV, identity documents). 3) Your application will be reviewed by the membership committee. 4) You will receive a notification of the outcome by email. 5) Upon approval, you will be issued a membership number and can begin accessing member benefits. The process typically takes 2-4 weeks.
